Long weekend

Yesterday was Hari Raya Haji, so we had long weekend from Saturday to Monday.

Initially we planned to make a one day trip to Malacca on Saturday, but Xi was having slight running nose on Friday evening which we afraid will lead to cold, so after breakfast on Saturday, we went to JB zoo instead. This was my and Xi's first trip to JB zoo, hehe... The entrance fee is cheap cheap. RM2 for adult and RM1 for kids above 3. So we paid RM4 for both hubby and me as Xi is still below 3.

The zoo is definitely smallish if compared to the Singapore zoo. But it is a nice short outing for a family especially there is not much place of interest in JB. U can finish touring the zoo within an hour. There are elephants, lions, tigers, monkeys, leopard, lotsa different species of birds and etc. The weather was superb on this Saturday morning, a bit of wind and not too sunny. We left the zoo shortly after 1 hour as it was near lunch hour for Xi.

Sunday morning we went to my gynae appointment. I was 33 weeks and 4 days. I went to do my 1st CTG test while Xi and hubby waited downstairs. By the time i came back, they were happily watching the cartoon wif Xi sitting on hubby's lap eating her biscuit. Xi told me she wants to see mei mei. :) Inside the Dr Chu's room, Xi was as behave as can be (to my relief). Everything is normal and well for mei mei. She has finally hit 2kg (from 1.2kg one month ago) though my weight has increased slightly by 0.5kg over the last month. Next appointment will be 3 weeks later on 28 December.

Sunday evening after Xi wake up from her nap, we drove to Singapore to attend my good friend, Hai Mi's wedding. We were sitting with her colleagues as she did not invite many of our friends. Xi again surprised us by sitting obediently on the high chair throughout the dinner (with constant feed of biscuit and her favourite raisins) and smiled and played with an aunty sitting beside me. Hope she will be so well behaved always.

We did not do much on Monday as it was raining non-stopping since early morning, except for a lunch with our family at Senai's popular duck rice place. Managed to wash a full load of mei mei's clothings though and put them to the new wardrobe we bought from Jusco. Love the new wardrobe as it is white in colour and the chests are made of rattan with a piece of flowery clothes on each of the drawers. Very victorian style. I like!

Had started packing up my hospital bag over the weekend. These are what inside my bag now:
1) 4 pieces of sarung;
2) 1 nursing cover;
3) 2 packs of Sofy sanitary pads;
4) 2 packs of cotton disposable panties; and
5) 10 pairs of disposable breast pad;

Yet to pack inside the bag:
1) Baby's mittens, booties, clothes, swaddling blankets, towels;
2) Tops for me;
3) Jacket;
4) Slippers;
5) Nursing bras;
6) Socks;
7) Toiletries;
8) Bath towels

Looks like I got to get a bigger bag to put ALL these stuff.

Hi Mummy Jas,

My husband was sitting in the same table as you for the wedding dinner! He's one of the bride's colleagues.

He came bk telling me there's a little girl, seated in the same table as him, so well behaved throughout the dinner. He couldn't imagine how our boy will be like for the 2+ hrs there :p
