A dialogue with Xi

Mummy: 歙歙, 你要去China吗? (Do you want to go China?)
Xi: 要!(Yes!)
Mummy: 去 China 就没有姨婆了喔! (Don't have Yi Po if you go China wor!)
Mummy: 要去China吗?(Do you want to go China?)
Xi: 不要!(Don't want!)
Mummy: 为什么?(Why?)
Xi: (跟)姨婆住! (Want to stay with Yi Po!)

Such innocent kid, such sensible answer.

Baby Crystal and Baby Yun Ru

Couldn't help but to put the two babies together to snap some photos. They are just soooo cute!!!

Babe Crystal is my cousin, Ping and his wife, Ai Yong's little princess. She is one month older than Ru and is growing very well at 6.2kg now at 2+ months! Look at her round round and pinchable face! So cuuuuute!!! I wish Ru will catch up her weight to Crystal in no time. :)

Happy 2nd Birthday to Xi

Last Saturday was Xi's 2nd birthday.

Still could not fully comprehend the meaning of birthday. When I wished her happy birthday when she woke up in the morning, she said to me in frustrated tone in mandarin,"Don't want birthday!". Haiz... this gal...

I brought her to her playgroup, 1st time after my confinement. She was as sticky to me but I was glad to see her walking to her teacher for her card (with her photo on the card) during the session of welcoming all the kids. However, she refused to be changed to her swimming costume and refused to join other kids to swim at the end of the class. Instead, we headed to the playground which she loves.

After the class, we went home to pick up hubby and Ru. Then we headed to IMM to buy a birthday cake for Xi before drove back to JB. Disappointed at the limited choice of birthday cakes in Polar cake shop, i bought her a chocolate cake from Four Leaves.

Birthday celebration was a small celebration at in law's house. Hubby bought many local food such as satay, otah, fried carrot cake, rojak, KFC and Pizza Hut, a pity that most of the food I could not eat yet due to still completing the 40 days confinement.

Xi was ultra sticky to me the whole evening at in law's place and hold on to me like a koala bear. However, she was very happy at the cake cutting session and flashed her rare smiles of the day.

Happy Birthday my little angel! Stay healthy and happy always! Papa, mama and meimei love you very much!

Shaving hair

Now that Ru is 1 month old. Like her sister and her other cousins (my hubby's family), she would be shaved her hair as well. So this afternoon, her gong gong and po po came especially to bring Ru to shave her hair. We went to a hair salon nearby my house. Bye bye baby hair and welcome our lovely botak baby! :)

Baby Yun Ru's full month

We celebrated Ru's full month last Saturday which was also the Valentine's Day.

It was a simple celebration of distributing full month cakes to relatives and praying to both sides of ancestors.

Nevertheless, I was pretty looking forward to the day as it means finally i can step out of the house formally, or rather, Ru and I can finally go out after almost 1 month of confinement.

It was a bright sunny day. Hubby only came back from Sg with Xi at about noon, after her Saturday class, and off we went to my parents' in law's house in Perling. MIL has already cooked and prepared the stuff for praying. Ru seems to know it was her day and was very alert and curious looking around the house without making a fuss.

We left PIL's house to my parents' house in Pontian at 2 plus. Ru again refused to sleep much. Instead, she opened her eyes big big looking around her uncles aunties and kor kor jie jie many of whom saw her the first time.

I was pampered with many delicious confinement dishes Ma cooked especially for me. Despite the fact that Ru is full month already, I am still having my confinement. :( Oh well....

Now looking forward to the end of my confinement this coming Sunday. A few more days to go. :)

A sweet little act

Yesterday afternoon while I was pumping milk in the study room with Xi playing by herself in the room. Exasperated by the hot weather and the little milk which i pumped out, i blurted out "so hot" even though the fan in the room was on. Xi repeated after me "so hot" in mandarin, then rushed out of the room. I did not bothered by her and continued pumping. Shortly, she came back with a air-con remote control in her hand (she went to the master bedroom for the remote control which was placed on the bedside table within her reach) and pressed the "On" button to switch on the air-con in the study room.

Such a sweet little gesture of my big little gal. :)

Chinese New Year

This CNY is destined to be different from other CNY which we had before. Though Xi is a CNY baby as well, she was born on the 11th day of CNY in year 2007, so we got to celebrate CNY until she was born.

Ru was born 6 days before this Ox year, so my entire CNY will be having confinement.

So this CNY, hubby was the one bringing Xi around for visiting. 1st day they went to my in-laws' house for visiting, and 2nd day to Pontian my parents' house. Xi was as happy as ever without me for both visiting, but upon reaching home and saw me, she back to her clingy self and cried for me to carry her and took a long time to pacify her as i still cannot carry heavy stuff not to say a 14kg toddler.

However, I am thankful that Xi is a loving sister to her little meimei. Whenever meimei cries, she will tell me and go to the playpen to see her sister. When she sees me breastfeeding meimei, she will sit beside us and play by herself, or come over to cuddle and sayang her meimei.

I wish both sisters will always be loving towards each other.
