MERRY XMAS TO EVERYONE!

Today is my first xmas.

In the morning, mummy brought the present given by Yi Po to me. See I am trying to figure out what is inside.

Xmas is coming!!!

Playing happily on the bed (mummy push the playpen to the bed afraid i will fall down from the bed) while mummy busy taking photos of me. Who knows suddenly i fall into the playpen! Got a shock but didn't cry much!

Daddy came back from China last Sunday midnight.

Thursday (20/12) is Hari Raya Haji and daddy mummy no need to work. So we drove back to JB on Wednesday night. The causeway was jammed, but with daddy's superb driving skill, we managed to reach JB in about an hour's time. Thursday afternoon we went to Jusco to shop. Again, it was full of people due to public holidays. Mummy and daddy had their lunch at Secret Recipe then we went to shop. When mummy was buying her beauty stuff at the beauty salon, i pooed... And by the time we reached the nursing room, my pants were dirtied by my poo. Mummy wanted me to lie down but i refused! She has no choice but to clean me and change diaper for me with me standing.

Friday (21/12) was a working day. However, as Po po no need to work, daddy asked po po to look after me for the day which po po is more than happy to do. So early in the morning they drove me to Perling popo's house before leaving to Sg to work. They came back late evening on Friday night to pick me.

Saturday (22/12) is Tong Zhi. Daddy said it symbolised a brand new year, and whole family should be together on this day. For him, Tong Zhi is greater than new year. So in the afternoon, we went to Perling popo's house. Da gugu and kids were there too. They were busy preparing food for Crystal jiejie's birthday party on Sunday. Daddy mummy had some tang yuan which is a must on Tong Zhi. About 5pm, we left Perling to SG. Wai Po, Da Jiu and Xiao Jiu and kids are going to SG for holiday so we were joining them.

We had a good dinner at Sunset Bay, and Da yi surprised mummy with a birthday cake for her and they sing birthday song and celebrate early birthday for her. Mummy was soooo touched!!! After dinner we went to Marina Square to shop for awhile before heading home. Da yi surprised us all with xmas presents for every one of us. :)

Sunday (23/12) we went to Yum Cha restaurant at Toa Payoh for breakfast. Then we drove to Sentosa. It was a warm and sunny day. A good day for outing. But oh my, the sun is so bright, i can't even open my eyes even though i was hearing a hat. So i hide my face to mummy's chest. Gou gou and jie jie were having great fun on the open air bus! But we left shortly as going back to JB. Crystal jie jie's birthday was at 7pm at Da gugu's house. Mummy brought my baby food which include cereal, 1 cube each of sweet potato, green zucchini, apple and grape. Yummy!!!

Today is Xmas eve. Daddy is flying off to China again.

Mummy is very disappointed. As it means celebrate Xmas, her birthday and new year without daddy... :(

Update: Mummy and I joined Da Yi, Da Yi Zhang, Xiao Yi, Jing Heng and Jing Wei gougou and Felicia jiejie this evening for xmas. Da yi tapao Boon Tong Kee chicken rice and they all had dinner at the swimming pool at her condo. Daddy surprised mummy by asking Xiao yi to buy a xmas log cake for her. Mummy though still disappointed at daddy not able to celebrate xmas with us, has forgiven him in the heart...

A Weekend Out

It's a busy and fun weekend!

Saturday afternoon, Da Yi and Da Yi Zhang came to fetch us and Xiao Yi to Orchard. This weekend daddy not around, so mummy decided to stay in sg so that she can bring me kai kai. It's Xmas season, mummy's favourite month and festival of the year.

It was soooo crowded, so many people. Initially mummy put me in the stroller. But Orchard was pretty stroller user unfriendly and she and Yi Yi gotta carry me up and down the stairs and escalator etc. In the end, mummy decided to sling me. Yippee!


Mummy finally bought a small xmas tree from Takashimaya. Then we went to Paragon shopped for awhile. We rested at a cafe at the 4th level of Paragon, and mummy brought out my cereal and pureed fruits to feed me. The moment I saw my food, i realised I was hungry and finished everything in no time. Then we headed to Centrepoint and OG. By the time we left Orchard for dinner, it was 9pm already! Finally by 10pm we reached home. Mummy and I were sooo tired. Mummy bathed me, then quickly set up the xmas tree and went to sleep thereafter....


Sunday afternoon mummy brought me to Uncle Law's baby gal's full month celebration. We took a cab to Sembawang and the 1st to reach. Baby En Yu is so sweet!!! She reminded mummy on when I was only 1 month old. I was quite shy at the beginning but warm up soon, until when the crowd came. Mummy, so many unfamiliar faces, i scared... I hold on to mummy tight tight, won't want to let other uncles aunties carry me. Everyone commented how chubby and well fed i am, as I am heavier and as tall as Kar Ying and Xin Tong jie jie who are 16 months old!!!

Mummy has a fun afternoon catching up with her old friends - Auntie Ee Hiang, Auntie Siew Gek, Uncle Kian Peng and Uncle Siew Kiang. They are from the same hometown, Pontian, and went to same secondary school.

New skills:
1) Stroke mummy's face when asked to sayang mummy;
2) Learn to fan myself using a fan mummy got from Takashimaya.

I love to stand!!!

Mummy is very troubled! Nowadays whenever i got chance i will want to stand, stand and stand. I can stand easily now by holding on to people, sofa, bed or chair. I especially like to stand on the bed by holding on to the bed head and explore things mummy put on the bed head. Mummy is troubled because due to this, whenever i got to bed, i will crawl to the bed head and STAND!!! As a result, it takes a looooong time for mummy and daddy to put me to sleep or nap.



Last Saturday I woke up at 6.45am for milk milk then refused to fall asleep. For the whole afternoon, poor daddy and mummy tried to get me to sleep but i only managed to sleep for 30 minutes. After trying for the whole afternoon and seeing me still as active as ever, daddy mummy gave up. So we left home to Popo's house. On the way, daddy mummy dropped by their favourite ice kacang stall for a treat. The ice kacang looks super yummy with lots of nuts and chocolate. In the evening, we went to a nearby playground cum park together with En jiejie and Hang gougou. It was a beautiful saturday and very windy!!! I have such a great time there watching so many gougou jiejie playing around. Mummy carried me all the while and swing me making me laughed so much!

Clapping and Crawling

Last Friday evening mummy as usual went to fetch me from Yi Po's house after work. She was surprised to see two developments on me:
1) clapping hands; and
2) crawl properly


She is amazed i can suddenly do these two acts and can't wait to show my new tricks to daddy. Oh, daddy was coming back on the same night. After we left Yi Po's house, we went to the budget terminal to wait for daddy. Daddy was finally out after waiting for 30 minutes for his luggage. I was a little shy when i saw daddy as he has been away for 2 weeks. But i let him carry me and soon warmed up with him. Daddy and mummy were both so happy that I can still recognise him. :) We went back to JB right after picking up daddy from airport.

Saturday afternoon after the two Indo kakak finished cleaning our JB house, we went to Pontian to Wai Gong/Wai Po's house as we were going to celebrate Wai Gong's 66th Birthday!!!



Oh, did I mention before now that I am a jie jie already? As Er Jiu Mu has given birth to sister Genevie. Everyone commented Genevie is so much smaller than when I was. She is 1.5 months now and weighs less than 4kg. But I was already 4.5kg when 1 month old. When Genevie mei mei grows older, I have a company to play with. Hurray!!!

I am a Velcro Baby.... And my first tooth is finally out!

Last Thursday and Friday (15 & 16 Nov) mummy was on leave as Yi Po and Yi Zhang went on a cruise trip so nobody took care of me. Thursday early in the morning, mummy put me into the car and drove me back to Wai Gong and Wai Po's house in Pontian. I know mummy was nervous during the journey as first time she drove back to Pontian by herself, with me in the car. The last time she drove back to Pontian, Xiao Yi and Wei Yi were with her so she not that scared. Luckily mummy still keeps the memo given by daddy on the direction to go back Pontian (did i tell you before mummy is totally hopeless when come to road direction???), so we had a smooth journey.

Wai Gong and Wai Po and aunties and uncles were all so happy to see me and wanted to carry me. BUT I WANT ONLY MUMMY!!! Only allowed them to carry me if mummy is out of sight. They are infamiliar to me as I do not go back often. But I know they all love me very much! Mummy hopes next time I will behave better.

During the 4 days stays at Pontian, I was bitten by mosquitoes on my thigh and arms. Wai Po was so heartpain to see the big and red mosquito bites on me and kept applying Hazeline snow cream on me.

Past two weeks have been tough for mummy, as I have become a "velcro" baby (quoted from Aunty Catz) and sticky to mummy like a koala bear. And I have become a difficult baby at bedtime. I will cry when mummy put me into my playpen and cry when I see her not around. So mummy resorted to put me on her king size bed and "sleep" with me. After I fall asleep soundly only then she carry me to my own playpen. I am stubborn and love to play even though i know it's the bedtime. So I will roll and play and pull mummy's hair and necklace for more than half an hour before I finally sleep out of exhaustion. Mummy is in a dilemma on whether to continue this unhealthy habit of let me sleep on her bed first then only put me back to my playpen when i fall asleep; or learn from the Nazis mummy (eg. aunty milk milk, aunty catz and aunty pvl) be tough on me, put me into my playpen and let me cry... She tried on Monday, let me cry in my playpen whilst she covered her ears with pillow on her bed. She was hoping i will stop crying after half an hour, but after 45 minutes my cry didn't stop. She couldn't bear it anymore and carried me out of playpen. I was sobbing uncontrollably but fall asleep soon in mummy's arms.

AND OH, I AM PROUD TO TELL YOU THAT MY FIRST TOOTH (LOWER FRONT) IS FINALLY OUT! Mummy was so thrilled when Yi Po told her about my tooth yesterday evening. She immediately put me lying on her laps and opened my mouth to see my pearl. And she could not help but call daddy who is in China immediately. :)

Happy Birthday, Daddy!!!

Last Saturday, 10 November was daddy's birthday!

However, daddy and mummy were busy cleaning our JB house on that day so we did not really celebrate.

Initially daddy and mummy wanted to put me at popo's house as our house was very dusty due to changing of floor tiles work. But as we reached JB quite late, so we went straight to our house, and by the time we reached at 9am i was fast asleep. So daddy and mummy left me sleeping inside the car with car windows opened. The weather was cooling as it was raining that morning so I slept soundly inside the car until 10.30am. Mummy praised that I am a good gal as I know they busy so slept while they busy cleaning.

At evening time, we left home to popo's house for dinner. After dinner, we went to Secret Recipe bought a Chocolate cheese cake for daddy, and brought back the cake to popo's house to celebrate wif gogo and jiejie. The cake looks yummy and popo let me tried a bit.

Mummy said next year i can sing birthday song to daddy as this year i dunno singing yet. :)

Learning to waaaaalk

This week, I start to "walk", by holding on to the edge of the bed and sofa, with the supervision of adults.

I can "walk" for a few steps too when mummy holding my hands to move forward.

I also like to "walk" by holding on the edge of Jia Han jiujiu's bed when I woke up from nap at Yi Po's house.

Yi Po bet I will be walking anytime soon.

Biting

I have been biting anything which I can get hold of for a very long time. But it's only since Sunday I start to bite mummy's shoulder! Twice somemore, when I got too excited playing with mummy. I guess my bites on mummy was rather painful as she shouted out loud. Mummy said luckily i still teethless, else will be even more pain.

Last night while mummy was holding me singing as usual before tucking me to sleep, i wanted to attach her again. But this time mummy was more alert. She tried to avoid been bitten by me by holding me away from her. The more she tried to siam from me, the more excited i become. Ended up both of us dropping on mummy's bed laughing. :)

Don't know is it due to being over stimulated, I don't feel like to sleep after mummy put me in playpen and kissed me goodnite. I continued playing in the playpen and when finally got bored, I cried for mummy. I cried and cried but none of mummy and daddy came to rescue me. Where are they? The room so dark, i scare.... Finally daddy came in and carried me after I cried for about 10 minutes. Mummy brough some warm water for me to drink. Was too tired after crying non-stop for so long. Finally dozed off after drinking water...

Another Poo Incident

Yesterday I had another poo incident. *blush blush*

Mummy, daddy and I were visiting Uncle Leonard who is our interior designer for our JB house, and after the house renovation, becomes daddy and mummy's close friend, and later on even become our neighbours. :)

Just before mummy and daddy were about to leave, Mummy felt a lump of soft and smelly stuff at the side of her shorts!!! And she looked at me, who looked back at her innocently, and she quickly asked daddy to get some wipe tissues as she saw there are yellow and wet stains on the sofa oredi! Daddy and Uncle Leonard have guessed what had happened from mummy's expression. Mummy kept apologise to Uncle Leonard for dirtying his sofa, but kind Uncle Leonard was all smile and asked us not to worry.

Mummy quickly hold me wif one hand and the side of her shorts wif another hand, and rushed to the toilet and flushed the shit out of her shorts under the tap. I didn't struggle but guai guai looking around the toilet and seeing mummy washing her shorts. Then with daddy's help, they put me on Uncle Leonard's marble kitchen top, undressed me and cleaned me using the wet tissue. The smell was too strong and Uncle Leonard's kids dare not keep close to me. Then mummy hold me standing at the bathroom and use the shower head to bath me. First time mummy bathed me using shower head and the feeling is good! I was very happy and kept smiling, unaware the mess and the embarrass i brought to mummy and daddy. But Mummy and daddy never scolded at me. Just reassured me that everything is all right...

We left Uncle Leonard's house after mummy finished cleaning up for me, and herself. I felt comfortable after poo poo and shower, and soon dozed off in the car after we left...

A Visit to Mummy's Office

Yesterday evening mummy brought me to her office, after picked me up from Yi Po's house and collecting some bags bought from BP in White Sands. When we reached her office at 7.30pm, her bosses had already reached. Mummy thought can leave office within 1/2 hour, end up only finished after 10pm. I was so tired and hungry... I missed my 9pm milk feed and my 10pm bedtime. Mummy was holding me using her left arm and typed keyboard using her right hand. On and off she played with me and kept me entertained. :) Her boss, Mr Lee, who she respects a lot wanted to carry me, but I screamed and cried the moment i saw being carried by a stranger. Thereafter, none of her bosses dare to carry me. I was still playing happily at mummy's desk until when past 9pm, i started feeling hungry and bored! Mummy, where is my milk!!! Mummy very kan cheong also so she quickly grabbed her cup and poured me some water. The water taste so good! I drank and drank... Or was it that I am hungry? The last hour before we left her office I was very cranky, so she gave me a piece of paper to tear, and a glue to play with. I also played her office telephone and dropped the phone a few times on the floor. Hope did not spoil the phone. :) Finally by 10.15pm she finished what she was doing and quickly drove me back. By the time she started the car's engine, i have dozed off oredi as i was tooooo tired... Mummy felt sooooo bad....

See How Much I Have Grown Over the Past Few Months...

7 months old
~ Start crawling, finally! Start to recognise people and places and sticky to mummy. Strangers anxiety...

Mummy bought me this bumper playmat from forum to put at Yi Po's house and she is getting another thicker one to put at our house as no need to move the playmat here and there during weekend. I also like her yellow/orange jujube "Be Mine" and like to chew on the strap. :)



6.5 months old

~ Like to stand and walk a bit with assistance. Can from lying position to sitting then to standing by holding of fingers.


Dressing up to go gai gai with mummy to Orchard. First time mummy brings me to Orchard by herself, taking MRT.

6 months old
~ Can sit unassisted and start having 1 solid meal per day. Mummy is making me lots of puree fruits and vege, such as apple (my fav), pear, nectarine, plum, mango, avocado, banana, sweet potato, zucchini, brocolli, parsnip and pumpkin.



Mummy unintentionally bought some unripe avocado from NTUC. It taste soooo awful! Look at my expression:


I like to flip here and there on mummy's king size bed and in my playpen before my bedtime.



5.5 months old
~ First taste of food other than milk - 1st solid food: Healthy Time Brown Rice cereal. The cereal taste ok and I managed to finish the 1 teaspoon mummy fed me on that morning of 18 August 2007 :)




Hats Show ~ As mummy has no time to go shopping nowadays, she is addicted to online shopping via bulk purchase and oversea sprees in singaporemotherhood. See, she likes to buy me hats to wear as everyone commented I look more like a girl with hats.


She got me these sunglasses from Old Navy spree and this Dreambag from bulk purchase. Sunglasses are for photoshooting purpose only but I use this sleeping bag almost every night. Now mummy is more assured I won't get cold when kicking off blanket at night.



5 months old
~Loves to stand with assisted, and jumping up and down. Mummy called me a kangaroo, as I like to jump up and down whenever the adults hold me upright, and I HATE sitting and lying down! Mummy started to get worried that I will skip crawling, as until now I show no sign of crawling even though I am already an expert in flipping.




4 months old
~ Lots of funny expressions and start flipping. I was sad, as mummy was admitted to hospital due to appendicitis. Went under operation and was advised by doctor not to carry heavy stuff for 2 weeks, including me... sob sob. After mummy discharged from hospital, me and her stayed for 1.5 weeks at Popo's house in JB. She still could not resist to carry me sometimes and bathes for me in the morning despite her pain. We have peaceful time together (only me and mummy) every morning as mummy and I are both early birds, woke up early. After 2 weeks of hospitalisation leave, mummy went back SG to work. Daddy insisted to leave me wif Popo as afraid over drained mummy. I know mummy missed me for that week as I missed her too... After 1 week of separation from mummy, she could not tahan anymore and asked Xiao Jiu to drive us back to SG.

3 months old
~ Learned to lift up my head and hold the milk bottle myself. Mummy start working and Yi Po looks after me during daytime. Every morning at 6.45am, mummy will drive me to Pasir Ris Yi Po's house before go to work. After work, she will come to pick me up so that she can see me and be with me everyday. I am now on 70% bm and 30% fm. Mummy expressed out twice in her office enough for my two feed.




2 months old
~ Getting chubbier and rounder... One find day, my double eyelids just disappear. Mummy feels so sad about it...




1 month old
~ My hair was shaved until botak on my one month celebration. I am on 90% bm and 10% fm. The 10% fm is for night feed so that i can sleep longer... :(
