Updates

HELLO!!! Mummy has been rather slacked in updating my blog as she has been extremely busy with her work lately... especially now that she is preggie with a didi/meimei. Yay, mummy told me i am going to be a jiejie soon! I like to sayang her tummy and kiss the tummy. She asked me must sayang didi/meimei just like how much she sayang me.

I love to see my photo albums . Everyday i must ask Yi Po to bring out the album a few times and see the photos. I will call out "Xi" when asked who the little gal in the pic is. :)

I love reading too! Mummy put a lot of books in the car (as i spent 2 hours a day in the car) and lotsa books in the house. I especially love the "ABC Words & Picture", "Gossie's busy day", the two spinning books ("The Wheels on the Bus" and "Old McDonald") and the small finger books which can pull out the tags kind.

I can recognise many pictures and their names (english and chinese). Like when asked where is "flower"? I will point to flowers and said "hua". And tree, pillow, book, pen, spoon, duck, car, shoes, cloth, bed and many many more.

I will also flash my megawatt smile when asked to smile, and ya, i not afraid of taking photos already (I used to hate the flash from camera), in fact, i will pose and let mummy & daddy take photos for me. :)

Here's some pictures taken during my farm trip (Bollywood and Hay's Dairy Farm) on 22 June 2008:

When two YXs met...

Mummy's buddy, Aunty Chwei Phing has a daughter who is 1.5 months younger than me. Her name is Riona and her English name short form is YX too! Last week, Aunty CP and her hubby, Richard were on a trip to KL and Malacca with Riona. They came to JB to visit mummy and us on Friday afternoon.

Riona mei mei is of similar height and build as me, though mummy said i am more chubbier. She is so independent and not afraid of strangers, unlike me... We quickly warmed up with each other and mummy managed to snap some photos of us interacting with each other.

Daddy drove us for a road trip to Kota Tinggi and Kluang the next day, before we drove to Pontian, wai po's house. Riona mei mei was as active as ever inside the car and won't sit still, but hei, she is so adorable! We have some fighting inside the car for the same toys. Mummy asked me to give to Riona as she is a mei mei. The long road journey has tired out all of us.

We sent them off on Sunday afternoon from Senai Airport. Mummy hope she and Aunty CP will see each other soon. I wish to see Riona mei mei soon too...

Mummy's new toy - A Piano

Daddy bought mummy a piano. Our piano came on the Sunday morning on 18 May 2008. It is a 20 over years Kawaii, but the workmanship and sound are superb. Mummy is very happy that finally she has her own piano! Daddy hope mummy will play the piano more often but I want mummy to carry me and play with me! Everytime mummy tries to play, i will insist to sit beside her and "play" with her, or I will insist her to carry me or even shake her hands away from the keyboard! Looks like mummy will have a hard time to find time play her new toy with me around.

At Changi Airport T3

Last Sunday, mummy and daddy sent popo and gonggong off to Beijing from Changi Airport T3. The new terminal is bright and spacious and I have a good time wondering around the airport. See me in action:

My toddler from a baby

Time flies, and my Ah Xi is going to 15 months in a week's time!

She has started to "speak", in a foreign language ( I seriously think she is speaking korean) which we do not understand! She "talks" a lot especially during her bedtime, and when she is alone sitting on her car seat when I drive. Other than her foreign language, she does say some words which we understand, such as mama, papa, yipo, korkor, gugu, apple, ba (for "banana"), ball, book, car and bird. She especially like to "papapa" on anything, including to me! Only during "emergency" then she will call me "mama". Hubby said when she called me "papa", she actually wants me to "pao pao".

She is also getting naughty! Her favourite act now is 猪嘴, and her mouth can really act like a pig's mouth until her lips touch the tip of her nose! Haha.... And she likes to waive and flying kisses to anyone! This is really heart warming especially when she waive and flying kisses to strangers. It normally will gain the strangers' smile in return. I am happy that my little gal manages to warm people's heart to think that we are living in a world whereby people do not care much about each other or exchange conversation, even with neighbours, people sharing the same transport, sharing the same lift or same table in hawker centres. Strangers will now open up conversation with us, asking us about our gals, and playing with our little gal.

She also can sit quietly in her car seat throughout the journey when I drive. I always look at her image from the front mirror at how mature my gal is now compared to a few months ago. Every morning when waiting at the traffic lights, i will make use of the waiting time to read the book "Does a kangaroo have a mummy, too?" for her. She will follow me till the end and asked for the book after i finish. Now whenever i ask her "where is the kangaroo book?", she will find around her car seat for me.

Ah Xi also loves to look at her image from the mirror. Everytime after bathing her, I will carry her to the mirror and ask her where is her eyes, her nose, her mouth, her hands and her legs.

She also likes to walk by herself more, especially in shopping complex and restaurants. We are glad that nowadays she seems to be more relax at our houses - both sg and jb houses. In the past, she will cling to me tightly when we reach home, and wouldn't want to walk by herself at home. Now at least she likes to walk around the house by herself and play by herself.

Foodwise, we are more relax on her since she is more than 1 year old already. We let her try ice-cream, desserts, cakes, bitter gourd and other food which we eat, except for spicy food and seafood like prawns and crabs. Sometimes we do not have suitable food for her so we just give her plain rice. She takes it without any complain. :)

Ah Xi, it is such a joy and a blessing to have you. Despite the tiredness, mummy enjoys the private moments mummy has with you. The morning and evening rides, the bedtime and the bath time. I know you have heard it million times, but mummy still wants to say it yet again, "mummy loves you forever and ever..."

A Trip to Jacob Ballas Garden

Mummy and daddy took the opportunity to bring me to Jacob ballas garden which is always talked about by the forum mummies on this fine saturday morning on 19 April 2008, just before my Gymboree trial class. We had pratas at the famous prata shop nearby before heading to the garden. Daddy took quite awhile and finally managed to find the way into the garden. I have an enjoyable walk under the shades of trees...
