Happy Birthday to Mummy!

Last Saturday was mummy's birthday!

Daddy managed to find ice cream cake from Baskin Robbin in JB for mummy and we had a simple celebration for mummy, after i woke up from my afternoon nap. I was not in my best mood though as just woke up from the nap and not cooperative when mummy blew out the candle and cut the cake.

Mummy's birthday present from daddy? A gorgeous pair of diamond earrings and matching pendant. :)

Xmas Gathering

Merry Xmas everyone!!!

Yesterday we went to my ex-colleague, Yanny's house for a xmas gathering. We were the first to reach. Xi was a bit shy at the beginning, but soon warmed up to the place thanks to the few cuddle soft toys Yanny has in her living room.

Joycelyn, Serene, Sze Ling, Soo Hoon and her 3-year-old daughter, Karen reached shortly. It has been many months since we last met and is happy for the new mother-to-be, Sze Ling who is into 5th month of pregnancy. Congrats gal, hope a smooth sailing of pregnancy journey for u!

Yanny has catered pizzas, chicken wings, pasta and other food from Sapriano. The pizzas are much better than those from Pizza Huts. Yummy! We had such a good time catching up with each other. Really miss those audit days when we have lotsa fun together despite the long hours in the job. Now all of us have left audit line. Soo Hoon though still with Deloitte, but is in training department which is not as hectic as audit, i supposed.

As for Xi, glad that she has a good time too, busy with the food and running here and there, making funny faces. Soo Hoon's gal, Karen is such a gentle and smart little gal, sitting quietly with her mummy unlike my running-all-over-the-place gal.

We left shortly after 9pm, after the yummy log cake from Marriott Hotel.

Thanks Yanny and hubby, Gerald for their warmth hospitality! We had such a good time!

Singing and dancing

See how this gal entertained us with her singing and dancing nowadays:

Xmas at T3

Last week Tiu Gong was on leave. So Yi Po, Tiu Gong, Jia Han Jiu Jiu and me went to Changi Airport Terminal 3 for a short tour on the Friday morning! I love to go airport as it has lots of space for me to run around and in this festive season, the airport is filled with the Xmas ambience. The theme of Xmas for airport this year is Magical Wonderland and the airport is decorated with disney characters decorations, such as Mickey and Minnie.

And see how Yi Po and Tiu Gong spoilt me with these xmas presents! They brought me to Bugis Junction last Thursday to choose my xmas presents. And I immediately grabbed the baby pooh and baby piglet on my left and right hands. Hehe... They are cute, aren't they? :)

Long weekend

Yesterday was Hari Raya Haji, so we had long weekend from Saturday to Monday.

Initially we planned to make a one day trip to Malacca on Saturday, but Xi was having slight running nose on Friday evening which we afraid will lead to cold, so after breakfast on Saturday, we went to JB zoo instead. This was my and Xi's first trip to JB zoo, hehe... The entrance fee is cheap cheap. RM2 for adult and RM1 for kids above 3. So we paid RM4 for both hubby and me as Xi is still below 3.

The zoo is definitely smallish if compared to the Singapore zoo. But it is a nice short outing for a family especially there is not much place of interest in JB. U can finish touring the zoo within an hour. There are elephants, lions, tigers, monkeys, leopard, lotsa different species of birds and etc. The weather was superb on this Saturday morning, a bit of wind and not too sunny. We left the zoo shortly after 1 hour as it was near lunch hour for Xi.

Sunday morning we went to my gynae appointment. I was 33 weeks and 4 days. I went to do my 1st CTG test while Xi and hubby waited downstairs. By the time i came back, they were happily watching the cartoon wif Xi sitting on hubby's lap eating her biscuit. Xi told me she wants to see mei mei. :) Inside the Dr Chu's room, Xi was as behave as can be (to my relief). Everything is normal and well for mei mei. She has finally hit 2kg (from 1.2kg one month ago) though my weight has increased slightly by 0.5kg over the last month. Next appointment will be 3 weeks later on 28 December.

Sunday evening after Xi wake up from her nap, we drove to Singapore to attend my good friend, Hai Mi's wedding. We were sitting with her colleagues as she did not invite many of our friends. Xi again surprised us by sitting obediently on the high chair throughout the dinner (with constant feed of biscuit and her favourite raisins) and smiled and played with an aunty sitting beside me. Hope she will be so well behaved always.

We did not do much on Monday as it was raining non-stopping since early morning, except for a lunch with our family at Senai's popular duck rice place. Managed to wash a full load of mei mei's clothings though and put them to the new wardrobe we bought from Jusco. Love the new wardrobe as it is white in colour and the chests are made of rattan with a piece of flowery clothes on each of the drawers. Very victorian style. I like!

Had started packing up my hospital bag over the weekend. These are what inside my bag now:
1) 4 pieces of sarung;
2) 1 nursing cover;
3) 2 packs of Sofy sanitary pads;
4) 2 packs of cotton disposable panties; and
5) 10 pairs of disposable breast pad;

Yet to pack inside the bag:
1) Baby's mittens, booties, clothes, swaddling blankets, towels;
2) Tops for me;
3) Jacket;
4) Slippers;
5) Nursing bras;
6) Socks;
7) Toiletries;
8) Bath towels

Looks like I got to get a bigger bag to put ALL these stuff.

Self feeding and other photos

Self Feed

Xi has started self feed herself porridge and other food many weeks back and is getting better in self feeding, though I still need to feed her at the same time to "speed up" her feeding time and clear the debris lying around her eat area after each meal. Even when we eat out, she will insist to have her own bowl and spoon. She will say "Xi bowl bowl" and will be angry and refuse to eat if we did not give her one.

Bag Lady

Xi is a bag lady, or rather a bag gal! She loves carrying bags (not by hands, but on shoulder like an aunty), be it plastic bag, paper bag or tote bag. Everytime she saw us carrying stuff, she will want to "help" to carry for us, especially when she saw the bag is small and assumably light enough for her to carry. Smart gal, she won't offer to carry heavy stuff though. Hehe...

She saw this bag from a shop and refused to return!

Books In the Car

We bought some books and put in our car for Xi to occupy her time in the car, since everyday she spends almost 2 hours in the car. If i drive, I will put one or two books near her so that she can flip and "read" the books during the journey. Her three favourites are Hi-5 animal song book, a teddy bear book and a gal gal book for potty training. There is also a word book which she can recognise and say out the names of most of the objects in the book, and there is a Gossie book and a few finger fun books. If her daddy drives, i will sit beside her, ask her to choose a book and read for her.

Looking serious reading my magazine

Kek Sai

Guess what Xi was doing in the pictures above? She was trying to poo... Guess it right? :) This gal still not ready for toilet trained, and whenever she is trying to poo, she will go to one corner, standing there, and do her big biz there. During that period of time, no interference is allowed.

A Sticky Gal

Ah Xi has been very sticky to me over the last weekend. We went back to my hometown, Pontian on Friday afternoon to attend my cousin, Hui Yee's wedding which was held on 22.11.2008. Don't know whether it was due to the short nap which she took in the car on the way back to Pontian, or due to the crowd of our relatives who came to attend the wedding, Xi stuck like a koala bear to me throughout the weekend and wanted me to carry all the time. At night, she woke up many times crying for me to carry, and only much pacified will she fall asleep, only to wake up shortly again crying. *Sigh* We went back to our JB home on Saturday night after the wedding dinner. Strangely, she was back to her happy self, lying happily on her new winnie the pooh bedsheet set, even though we only go back to this house during weekend. Home sweet home, i guess, and this gal obviously does not feel comfortable when she feels intimidated by the crowd of relatives who want to play with her and carry her. *sigh*

Due to her stickiness, i did not manage to take much photos at all of the wedding and the beautiful couples. Have a blissful marriage, Yee and Pang!
