My toddler from a baby

Time flies, and my Ah Xi is going to 15 months in a week's time!

She has started to "speak", in a foreign language ( I seriously think she is speaking korean) which we do not understand! She "talks" a lot especially during her bedtime, and when she is alone sitting on her car seat when I drive. Other than her foreign language, she does say some words which we understand, such as mama, papa, yipo, korkor, gugu, apple, ba (for "banana"), ball, book, car and bird. She especially like to "papapa" on anything, including to me! Only during "emergency" then she will call me "mama". Hubby said when she called me "papa", she actually wants me to "pao pao".

She is also getting naughty! Her favourite act now is 猪嘴, and her mouth can really act like a pig's mouth until her lips touch the tip of her nose! Haha.... And she likes to waive and flying kisses to anyone! This is really heart warming especially when she waive and flying kisses to strangers. It normally will gain the strangers' smile in return. I am happy that my little gal manages to warm people's heart to think that we are living in a world whereby people do not care much about each other or exchange conversation, even with neighbours, people sharing the same transport, sharing the same lift or same table in hawker centres. Strangers will now open up conversation with us, asking us about our gals, and playing with our little gal.

She also can sit quietly in her car seat throughout the journey when I drive. I always look at her image from the front mirror at how mature my gal is now compared to a few months ago. Every morning when waiting at the traffic lights, i will make use of the waiting time to read the book "Does a kangaroo have a mummy, too?" for her. She will follow me till the end and asked for the book after i finish. Now whenever i ask her "where is the kangaroo book?", she will find around her car seat for me.

Ah Xi also loves to look at her image from the mirror. Everytime after bathing her, I will carry her to the mirror and ask her where is her eyes, her nose, her mouth, her hands and her legs.

She also likes to walk by herself more, especially in shopping complex and restaurants. We are glad that nowadays she seems to be more relax at our houses - both sg and jb houses. In the past, she will cling to me tightly when we reach home, and wouldn't want to walk by herself at home. Now at least she likes to walk around the house by herself and play by herself.

Foodwise, we are more relax on her since she is more than 1 year old already. We let her try ice-cream, desserts, cakes, bitter gourd and other food which we eat, except for spicy food and seafood like prawns and crabs. Sometimes we do not have suitable food for her so we just give her plain rice. She takes it without any complain. :)

Ah Xi, it is such a joy and a blessing to have you. Despite the tiredness, mummy enjoys the private moments mummy has with you. The morning and evening rides, the bedtime and the bath time. I know you have heard it million times, but mummy still wants to say it yet again, "mummy loves you forever and ever..."

A Trip to Jacob Ballas Garden

Mummy and daddy took the opportunity to bring me to Jacob ballas garden which is always talked about by the forum mummies on this fine saturday morning on 19 April 2008, just before my Gymboree trial class. We had pratas at the famous prata shop nearby before heading to the garden. Daddy took quite awhile and finally managed to find the way into the garden. I have an enjoyable walk under the shades of trees...

Photoshoot

Mummy and daddy took half day morning leave on 21 April 2008 as mummy has engaged Uncle Hart from tomato.com for a 2 hour photoshoot at our Clementi home. The photoshooting was quite fun but tiring... I got warmed up with Uncle Hart rather soon though still keeping a distance from him and here are some of mummy's favourite shots...

Gymboree Trial Class

Last Saturday mummy brought me to the Gymboree trial class. I was still sleepy from my very short nap in the car before reaching Harbourfront Centre and i was not in my best mood. I held on to mummy for the entire 45 minutes and refused to join in the fun of the program. Mummy was too pre-occupied with me so not managed to take any photo. The following photos were taken by QY's mummy. See the unhappy look i was during the trial:

Walking

This morning baby YX again held me tightly, refused to let my aunty carried her, and fussed and cried for "ma" when my aunty took over her. Notty gal!!! But by the time I at the lift, she was quiet already. Bao bei, you should know how lucky you are to have Yi Po to look after you.

Last nite we went to Raffles City (yes, again!) and had dinner at the New York New York at the citylink. Baby Yunxi refused to walk inside the restaurant but prefer to walk out of the restaurant along the citylink. Our darling finally dared to let go of her hands and took her first real step - walk, on Sunday, 30 March 2008. Even then she will still want to hold our hands whenever she can so that she can walk faster. She was walking so happily and struggled so hard when we were trying to carry her while taking escalator, and immediately wanted to be put on the floor to walk. She was soooo happy, kept laughing and sending flying kisses to everyone.

This is our bao bei, baby Yunxi, and we love her sooooo much!
